Wifi Connecting But No Internet – Sometimes, when you connect your computer to a WiFi network, it won’t actually connect to the Internet. This is usually caused by something blocking the connection. But what exactly causes this problem?
For example, you can pay a monthly fee to a service provider, such as AT&T, Verizon, or Comcast. You can also pay per-byte fees, how many times the Internet connection is used.
Other factors can prevent you from accessing the Internet, including your ISP or your Internet provider’s settings.
Check the power supply.
This is a crucial step. It’s easy to overlook and often goes unnoticed. But if it doesn’t work, you’ll never see any money.
To check the power supply, plug the adapter into a wall socket. If it works, you’ll hear a faint hum. If not, you’ll listen to nothing. You’ll need to switch it off and on again to see if it’s working.
I know you may think this is a pretty obvious topic, but people who are new to making money online often overlook it.
It’s easy to think that you’re good to go once you have a website. But before you can do that, you need to get your website online. I’ve created this video tutorial where I walk you through how to do that.
Check the modem
I’m sure you know that the modem connects to the router via an Ethernet cable or WiFi signal. But what exactly happens when you plug that cable into your modem?
Well, it’s probably going to connect to your router. But what happens when the router doesn’t have an Ethernet port? That’s where we come in.
This is an important question because the modem is probably the only device you need to get the internet. So, if the modem isn’t working, you’re probably not getting internet.
So, how do you test the modem to ensure it’s working?
This video shows you exactly how to check the modem to see if it’s connected to the router.
This video is part of my series on fixing a broken modem or router. I’ve got lots more to come.
Replace the router
Have you ever had a hard time connecting to the Internet? It happens to the best of us.
The problem is, that sometimes your router simply isn’t working correctly. It may be slow to respond to your requests. Or maybe it won’t even connect at all.
You can fix this by replacing your current router with a new model. This is called a “router replacement”.
It sounds simple, but many different factors can affect your router.
Here are a few things you can do to troubleshoot your Wi-Fi and prevent future issues.
1. Check the Model Number
Make sure you check the model number on the back of the router. You can do this by looking at the sticker on the bottom. If you have more than one router, check them all.
2. Change the WAN Port
If you see a line with a port number next to it, that’s the WAN port. You might notice that the port number changes every time you power on the router.
This is normal. The router has an IP address that changes every time you connect to it.
You can change the WAN port on the back of your router by opening the back cover and scrolling to the bottom. You can find the WAN port by looking for a line that says “WAN” or “Internet”.
3. Turn Off the Power
Next, turn off your router. To do this, press the power button on the back. Then unplug the power cord from the back of the router.
4. Check the Settings
Next, open the settings on your router. You can do this by opening the web browser and typing in the IP address of your router (usually 192.168.1.1).
You can then log into your router using the username and password you chose when you set up your router.
Check the internet cables.
The internet is a highly complex system, and it requires a lot of maintenance. Unfortunately, not every company is going to tell you this. So, if you’re not careful, you might get a bill for services you didn’t know you needed.
Frequently Asked Questions(FAQs) About Wifi Connecting But No Internet
Q: My iPhone 4S has been acting weird lately. When I’m connected to the internet through my home wifi, it keeps trying to connect, but no internet shows up. It takes about two to three minutes for it to join. I can make calls and text, and the phone won’t load the internet.
A: First, try resetting the network settings on your iPhone. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Make sure that you have an active Wi-Fi connection on your computer.
2. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
3. Turn off the Wi-Fi feature on your iPhone, then turn it back on again.
4. You can also try restoring your iPhone by plugging it into iTunes and restoring your iPhone from backups.
5. If all else fails, try restarting your modem or router. Some wireless devices might not be compatible with one another if they are too far apart.
Q: Why won’t my internet work in certain areas?
A: There could be several reasons why this is happening.
1. Your iPhone needs to be on the same network as your router.
2. Your router and computer need to have a working connection to the internet.
3. If you’re using a new version of iOS, you may need to update your device to the latest software.
4. Check the signal strength.
5. Sometimes, the wireless service provider is limiting the amount of data that you can use each month.

Q: What can I do to fix this problem?
A: When you use Wi-Fi and have internet access, look for the blue Wifi connection icon near the clock. If there is no blue Wifi icon, you need to connect to the internet via the ethernet port (the one with the white cable coming out).
Q: My friend said I should upgrade my router. Can you recommend which router I should purchase?
A: You can check the reviews online or purchase a router directly from Best Buy. Most routers will cost around $100.
Q: What other things can I do to speed up my internet?
A: The more RAM and the faster the processor, the better.
Q: I’ve heard that using a Wi-Fi extender would improve my internet speed. Do you know how this would work?
A: If you want to use a Wi-Fi extender, make sure you buy one compatible with your specific router. You can usually find these at the store that sells your router. If you don’t know what brand your router is, then check online for a guide to help you select a suitable extender.
Q: My internet speed seems to fluctuate. Is it possible for my internet to be down?
A: If your internet speed fluctuates often, your internet can be down. Look at the status bar of your browser or search engine page to see if it says your connection is down.
